Priorities
UA professors best paid in Alabama, study shows
After four years in which Auburn led, UA has passed them. Seems like the state university should have the highest-paid professors, but Auburn's aggie focus tends to make their professors a little more expensive.

Auburn knows what's really important. They have the highest-paid football coaching staff in the nation.
Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs said Tiger fans “expect the best, so we hire the best, and we pay the best."

As many Bear Bryant critics as there are out there, what most people don't know is that he never accepted a salary higher than the highest paid faculty member.

Well, he could have worked for free and made a ton of money through his show and endorsements. But it was still a nice gesture.
