Why are they in the Shelby County Jail?

The lockups in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa aren't good enough for them? Columbiana is impossible to get to, by the way. It might as well be in Switzerland.
Authorities have not commented on a possible motive, but evidence indicates the fires began as a prank that got out of control on a night of drinking and illegal hunting. Defense attorneys have said the fires were not crimes of hate.
I'm starting to think that we need legislation against crimes of stupidity. Possibly special prisons for the incurably dumb.

I see a surprisingly easy road ahead for these three. Nothing overt, just stuff like this. I seriously hope I'm mistaken.

I am all about special prisons for the incurably dumb. I've been saying they need extra time for being stupid since they were arrested.

Setting fire to nine different churches is in no way a prank that got out of hand. If these young men are already such sociopaths that they see no problem destroying other people's property, then they don't need to be free to do it again anytime soon.
And Mac, you're right about Columbiana. We had to go there to get puppies from the Shelby County Humane Society seven years ago, and it is just the back of beyond.

I don't usually like Humane Society puppies because they tend to be kind of tough. You have to marinade them all day. Pet store puppies are much more tender.
