The most predictable story ever
Authorities say suspects in Alabama church fires may have been drinking
One officer says initial interviews with the suspects support a theory that drinking could have created a warped bravado that led to the arsons.
Really, alcohol caused this? Not sweet, sweet liquor!

I'm shocked, shocked to hear that college students were drinking!

Shhhyaa. They might have nursed a few beers on the ride down for courage, but how drunk could they have been to execute what was obviously a well-planned arson spree (more than once).
I don't understand why 'investigators' are wasting time deciding if alcohol was involved. How long before the defense blames it on booze. "Like that other young victim, Natalee Holloway, these naive young men were taken advantage of by intoxicating spirits that eroded their good judgement."

I have the distinct feeling that several mental disorders may have been involved as well. But I just had two glasses of wine earlier and contemplated spray-painting "Here's To My Sweet Satan" on a church near my apt., shortly after listening to a Led Zep album backwards, so what do I know?

Susan, I wondered that too. I can hear it now -- they're alcoholics, they can't be blamed for what they did under the influence, it's the fault of the store that sold beer to underage kids (I don't think 19 and 20 qualify as kids, myself), blah blah blah.
