The possibility is stronger now

Authorities investigating all 9 church fires as possible hate crimes

All four of the churches burned last night are predominantly black. (I had suspected as much. Most Baptist churches in the state that aren't Southern Baptist are black churches.) Is it possible that the arsonists just did bad research for their first set?

There does seem to be a lead, an SUV apparently seen at multiple fire scenes. Get the bastards.

I don't know where or how to ask this question. I've been searching for blogs for a while now, and reading what appears in the search doesn't leave much to go on. I've never typed in a blog before, it's only been a short while that I had come to know what they were and why they are here. I'm hoping someone out there may be able to help me. Feel free to email me, as Im not sure If I'll be able to figure out how to get back here once I leave....................
..............................................
I have always gone to a United Methodist Church for as long as i can remember. I moved home about six months ago, and didn't want to go to the church I grew up in. It was boring to say the least, so my quest began searching for a new place to worship and praise Jesus. After about four months of visiting a new church each Sunday I stumbled upon a Baptist church. I have no idea what kind of baptist church it is. (After doing my blog search, I found that there are many kinds of churches of this denomination.)...............................
..............................................
mentoring class was at 10am, which I missed becuase it wasn't posted on their sign. Church started roughly at 11am. there was about 1.5 hours of singing and hugging and lots of holding hands. Probally a hour of sermon and another 1/2 hour of other things, announcements, offering, and more singing.
................................
Those 3.5 hours was the best experiance of my life. Everyone was so loving and so giving. I had never experienced a service like this, and I was a bit disappointed it ended so early.
...........................
So here is my question:
How do I get comfortable freely speaking out loud, praising Jesus. There was a lot of speaking out loud going on and I felt "left out". I don't feel the Holy Spirit inside me. I was thinking maybe all these people around me can feel Him in their soul and so they speak outloud.
..............................................
I'm used to the churches where you could hear a pin drop if the pastor stopped talking.
..............................................
This church was rowdy, half the time I had to remind myself I was even in church.
..............................................
I sing a lot of songs in the car with the CD, hymn songs, I sing outloud, and loud! My hand goes up occasionally on a straigh-a-way. The rhythym fills my soul and I'm half dancing in the car. I have no problem talking to jesus then. But, in church I had trouble doing anything but just standing there.
..............................................
I thought maybe becuase for so many years that type of behavior was restricted in church. I want to be able to be free, and that includes expressing myself freely for Jesus.
..............................................
If anyone could provide any suggestions for me, I would be most thankful.
............................................

Also, if you could provide any suggestions how I can get to know some of the women of my new church I would be most thankful.
..............................................
Take care, God Bless
Jen
