How old time was it?
Wallace uses old-time rally to kick off campaign
Junior had lots of his daddy's old supporters out there:
The crowd included longtime Wallace family supporters, like Sons of Confederate Veterans leader Leonard Wilson of Townley, who showed off his "Wallace '68" lapel pin."It's like an old Wallace rally, except for the music," said Wilson, who preferred the softer country music of the past.
Whee! Smell those crosses burn!
Wallace is basically the Roy Moore candidate for Lt. Governor, running against the Riley/BCA candidate Luther Strange. There are a couple of others running but they aren't important.

Luther Strange is a freaking nutjob, too. I think I'm going to write in your name for Lt Gov, Mac.

Well, I'm not a Republican, but I'm honored.

Wait, so you're saying you hate America?

I know that Wilson man. Every Sunday he held church services in Townley alone in the church with his mother. He scared the hell out of me when I was growing up.

Marginally related: I was listening to an NPR story Thursday afternoon about Abramoff/Native American tribes/Ralph Reed, etc. and they said Reed is running for Lt. Governor of AL. F*ckin' NPR. I don't know what I'd do without them, but they have a very elitist tendency to confuse everything south of DC into one illiterate backwater that hasn't produced anything notable since Bailey White.

I had heard Steve Flowers was interested. He's a Republican I'd vote for.

How is Strange a nutjob? Besides his name and unusual height?
