Siegelman broke
Siegelman's loan adds $300,000 to campaign
He's raised $400,000 for his campaign, but $300K of that is a loan from his brother. Frankly, it's kind of sad. People just don't want to contribute money to a man who's under Federal racketeering charges. Fortunately, finding people to monitor weblogs and spin their comments sections is cheap.

That's funny. I read the report and thought it was from his mother. It just says "Leslie B Siegelman", and google turned up the mom.

"The people of Alabama know what they need," Siegelman said.
No, they don't. If they did, we'd already have a new constitution, all of our schools would be well-funded, and Roy Moore and Don Siegelman would just be footnotes in history.

"The people of Alabama know what they need"
That one's right up there with "People can spend their money better than the government can." That's why we have record numbers of bankruptcy filings every year. Don't get me the wrong, the government's no better, but people are still idiots, and trying to make them believe otherwise in order to get their vote is wrong.
