Blogs join partisan fray on state political scene

I don't really want to talk about myself. So I'll just quote.

In the past year, several blogs devoted to Alabama politics have begun offering a new way for political junkies to get their fix.

Some go for a biting humor like War Liberal at www.warliberal.com...

Mac Thomason, 34, of Northport runs the War Liberal site. He said he began writing after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Originally focusing on national and international affairs, Thomason has moved to state politics.

"My goals now are: 1. To be entertaining. 2. To share the wackiness of Alabama politics with the world at large. 3. To improve my writing," Thomason wrote in an e-mail.

A college librarian - he didn't want to say where - Thomason offers a biting commentary on big state issues.

Well, at least it's not a nibbling commentary on state affairs.

I am a 29 year old married mom and substitute teacher in rural Clarke County. I think it is so important to remain informed of politics, both state and federal, and this is bar none the where I come to get my "Alabama" news. Nice links as well. Keep on rocking dude :) Blogs are the newspapers of our day; you're working to make sure that the people we elect know that we ARE paying attention.
