Google to fight DOJ request for search records - Jan. 20, 2006

I haven't seen the filing and wouldn't understand it if I did, but my reading from the news stories is that the DOJ is full of shit. Basically, Justice is saying that they should be allowed to look at a private company's records whenever they want even if the company is not a party to any involved action and hasn't done anything illegal.

Mike Rogers wants thousands of cameras in public places... Bush wants every search you've ever typed into Google scrutinized... anybody see a trend here?
