No, he doesn't

Moore supporter denounces 'alleged hate group'

"Reverend" John Killian didn't denounce the Council of Conservative Citizens, of which he was once a member. This is what he said:

"I haven't been associated with them for years. ... I am not involved with them any more. I am a minister, I'm a pastor of a congregation, and I would not be associated with an alleged hate group. That's not who I am."

He continued, "I'll let the Council of Conservative Citizens defend themselves, but I am not associated with that group."

That is not a denunciation. And "alleged" hate group? The CCC is a direct descendant of the White Citizens' Council, the "legitimate Klan". It's a hate group.

Killian was the president of the Conservative Christians of Alabama (these people only have about six words to use for the names of their groups) which was pushing St. Roy to run for governor. He's now resigned as their leader.

"mac" thomason, professional aggitator, unless you support Moore for Governor of Alabama, Christians who organize for conservative values in the Cradle of the Confederacy are "none of your business". "mac", why dont you start a group of nonbelievers for bama and spend your energies building something rather than try to tear down Alabama? ROLL TIDE, CELEBRATE THE 4TH WITH AN M 80 IN YOUR FISH TANK.

Killian also associates with known racist Leonard Wilson who lead violent riots in Tuscaloosa against the admission of the first black student in 1956.

Killian is also a member of the SCV a hate group listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

I know that this might not be a popular thing to do on this sight, but I have to defend John Killian. I have known John for several years and he is a very conservative Christian. However, the last thing in the world that John Killian could be is a racist. This is one of the nicest most down to earth guys that you will ever meet. To portray him as a racist is an absolute lack of honesty.

Then he shouldn't have joined a racist organization, should he?

Mac good point! Why has he been a leader of the Birmingham CofCC? And why was he on the national board of directors of the CofCC?
He has been Chaplain of the SCV and has won their fire eater speech award several times.
I have heard him use the "n" word like it was nothing.

The fact is he was in these circles for a long time and only got out because he thought his church might fire him. I heard him say that too.

To call this man a Racist is appaling. I have known him for the past 19 years and have never met anyone with such a sincere devotion to serving people. John joined the CofCC originally because he knew them as a group who claimed to be pro-family and against illegal immigration. Because of his natural leadership and charisma he was aksed to take charge. This man is about as far from racist as possible. I would say I know him about as well as any person can because he is my father.
