Impressive storm

Arlene Bringing Rain and Wind to Florida, Louisiana

I mean, to bring all that weather to Florida and Louisiana while completely ignoring the two states in between. It's certainly unusual.

Stupid Yankees. Well, Florida and Louisiana will be underwater when the ice caps melt, and then we'll have the beachfront.

Not unlike the way Ivan's aftermath was reported as being worst in Pensacola (yes, I know it was to the East of the eye and got plenty of rain), when Orange Beach and Daupin Island--and points in between--were decimated. Tsk.

You think that's bad, you ought have seen the ESPN segment about the Learjet accident that killed golfer Payne Stewart I watched this morning.

They had a graphic that tracked the states his plane flew over before it crashed, Alabama being one of them. But when the guy who was narrating the segment read off all the states it passed over, guess which state was the only left out?

What the hell? Are we only good when our blondes go missing in vacation getaways now?
