It's brilliant, really
SI.com - Racing - Robby Gordon says Patrick has an unfair advantage - Saturday May 28, 2005 6:13PM
I mean, you have a sport where women might have an advantage, we have to do something about that! Otherwise they'll laugh at us and insinuate that our penises are small!
I could point out that those cars are pretty difficult to steer and that upper-body strength comes into play a lot. But I bet Gordon doesn't think he should take muscle relaxers before the race so it will be fair to weaker drivers.

What a pathetic little (not literally) man.
At the same time, it's refreshing to hear a man call another man on this kind of bullsh*t without us women having to do it all the time.

I saw this at DodgerThoughts and suggested that if all that were true we'd see the equivalent of Eddie Gaedel driving next year.
He can join Vijay Singh in the "stupid sexist remarks" hall of dishonor.

BTW, Susan, every comment (5 or 6) over at the Dodgers blog I mentioned shared my sentiments. 'Course, the Dodgers' pitching being what it is, we'd sign that girl who pitched a perfect game with 18 strikeouts last week and start her tomorrow.

No kidding. I spent all evening arguing with the DH that if weight was that big an issue, all those drivers would have been on diets already.
I'm not a racing fan, but apparently Danica Patrick drove pretty well. She's also pretty attractive, so I think that Robby Gordon must have been turned down. ;-)
