Just perfect

Ivan-hit bar to be bulldozed

Apparently, the Flora-Bama Lounge was a little bit too wrecked by Ivan and will be torn down by a new building which will be "just as low-rent" as the old one.

Damn, there goes some memories that I don't remember. At least they're rebuilding, sorta.

I hope they can recreate the "low-rent" feel of the original, but I doubt it.

They might manage it - I seem to remember a story in the days after the storm about the owner gathering up bits & pieces & putting them in storage for when they got it going again. It would be awful if it ended up faux-low-rent, like one of those Eat at Joe's places.

I'm not sure they can replicate the beer-soaked smell of the wood, but maybe some of the salvaged pieces still retain the scent.
