I imagine

Army becomes tough sell

For some reason, people aren't all that wild about joining the Army when it means they're going to go to Iraq. Funny, that.

The idea that you can "Be All That You Can Be" isn't very appealing if you have to be it in a casket.

Or "An Army of One, Albeit in Several Pieces".

To me the most distressing part of this story was two photos accompanying it (you guys reading it though AL.com didn't see them, I guess). There are two shots of pictures of recently-signed-up recruits. Forty-one smiling young faces (22 are black).

"An Army of One, Albeit in Several Pieces." You're awful.

Iraq scares me. Who would want to go there.

I say the same thing about Alabama.

I can't really argue with that. It's just I'm used to it.

I love it when a thread comes together. There aren't many rimshot opportunities available these days.
