Try it on your own kids!
Herald.com | 12/05/2004 | Experts dispute data on stun guns
Miami police zapped -- the story actually uses that verb -- two kids with tasers recently. The company says that there's no cause for concern, that kids can be tasered just fine. Experts aren't so sure, but if we went around listening to experts we'd never get anything done.

"Safe for a two-year old."
Wow... looks like my "Baby Taser" joke wasn't a joke after all.

I think the company is on the wrong track by trying to promote tasers as 100% safe. But they are safer than real or rubber bullets and probably safer than being cracked on the skull by a baton.

I've just looked at an interesting trailer of a film called "Holler to the Hood" that about abuse in American prisons. It has a short section of a man talking about his brother who was tasered. The site has some good audio clips with incarcerated people and the rural communities surrounding them. Blue state meets red state. Hip-hop meets Bluegrass? The audio and video clips are at www.appalshop.org/h2h
