Come to think of it...
Wouldn't Gerald Allen's law banning books with homosexual characters take out the Bible? For instance:
4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom-both young and old-surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
That's pretty plainly a violation of the bill, and more explicit than most books with gay themes. I'm pretty sure Gerry doesn't want to ban the Bible, but I don't see any way around it.

The Bible has more freaky stuff in it than most stuff printed today. Incest, sodomy, murder, bestiality, child sacrifice, Pharoah's Desperate Housewife, etc.
If I were to make a counter protest, I'd have a thing where everyone shows up demanding to ban the Bible for all its lewd and lascivious content.
What's funny about that bit you quoted is that the people wanted to bugger some angels. If you follow some traditions that say one of the guests was God, or some aspect of God, then the people wanted to cornhole the Almighty!

And then they went blind, which usually is the punishment for a different and even more widespread sex-code violation. Genesis in particular has some very weird stuff.

I'd like to see someone make a mini-series faithfully depicting what's in Genesis and see if it could get past the FCC and various "family values" organizations in the country.
It would call bullshit on the whole lot, because it's the Bible, but at the same time it's stuff you really don't want your kids to see and would contain images that most decent people would find objectionable. You'd have to ask the question: Are you loyal to what's in the Bible, or are you merely a cultural wolf in Scriptural clothing?
