But there's no such thing as global warming!
CNN.com - Study: Arctic warming at twice the global rate - Nov 8, 2004
Tech Central Station told me so!
Despite this, the world continues to get warmer and the polar icecaps continue to decay. For example, North Polar ice has shrunk by 15 or 20 percent the last thirty years, and by the end of this century might disappear in summer altogether. I think we should send the people who keep saying that there's no such thing to the Arctic to investigate. Thoroughly. Take their time, 15, 20 years.

I don't deny there's global warming, but I'm still unconvinced as to whether it's a natural phenomenon, a man-made phenomenon, or a combination of both producing a synergistic effect. That's what I would like to see answered.

Okay, that's a credible position. (Though most climatologists seem convinced that it's at least in part due to humanity.) But there are people who run around saying that there's no such thing, and they really bug me, because they're not going to be convinced of anything until the ice caps actually melt. (If then. "Oh, yeah, right, like there used to be ice covering Greenland. Why'd they call it 'Greenland', then, smart guy?")

Global Warming is a Man-made Conceptual Phenomenon. Iceland is mostly green and Greenland is mostly ice. Been that way.
You get a clue from those who believe in Global Warming, they are divided into those who say it is getting warmer and those who say it is getting colder. Sort of sad. They want to be scientists without having to deal with some facts and a lot of 'nobody knows' and that is just not science at all. You cannot arrive at a cause until you know what has happened. Or, have you seen it all before?

Global warming has been a reality for quite a while. Check out Lester Brown's very well researched book, "Plan B." It has been an industrial age phenomenon, much like our degenerative autoimmune diseases. It's one of the gifts we gave to the whole planet. The planet's mean temperature has steadily gone up for decades, now. To what extent this increase is naturally occurring is definatly blurry, but we, as humans, are capable of being aware of many things we do to contribute to this warming.
Lest be real about it. Earth will survive us, global warming will lead to an ice-age eventually. There is a topographical phenomenon in the North Atlantic that makes this so. One learns this in first year college geology.
What's all the fuss over, the earth gets warmer, the earth gets colder, humans, for the most part, are stumbling aroung not caring how they treat themselves or each other, and we will have made human existance, along with a long list of other species whom we have directly and indirectly caused the extinction of.
Yeah, Dexter, I've seen it all before. Its a fractal universe, kid. We've all seen it all. Its just a matter of putting it all toghther, which we humans will likely not do in time to make a positive difference.
