Why?

Many military families pulling for Bush

Was it his going to war on false pretenses, leading to the deaths of more than a thousand American servicemen (so far)? His cutting of payments to servicemen overseas? His backing of a Defense Secretary who wants to cut personnel to pay for more gee-whiz weapons systems? His use of the military as an arm of his campaign? Gosh, there are so many reasons for a military family to support George Bush!

People in the military tend to view attacks on the nation as reason for war. Any political view that becomes associated with "taking it the !@#$!" automaticly loses credibility. If the Democrats want this vote they need to distance themselves from the left fringe.

George W. Bush has a 74% job approval rating?
Yet....
59% agree with the statement, "The Pentagon has put too much of a burden on the National Guard and Reserves when it should have expanded the
regular forces instead."

Only 30% answered yes to "Do you think military veterans are getting the health care they were promised, or not?"

62% answered yes to "Do you think the regular forces sent to Iraq were properly trained and equipped for service there?"

Only 38% answered yes to the same question about National Guard and Reserve forces.

62% Believe the Bush Administration underestimated how many troops would be needed to establish peace in Iraq.

51% believe showing pictures of flag-draped coffins returning to Dover AFB would increase respect for the troops.

73% oppose reinstating the draft.

WTF?
