I figure it's news just because she's a celebrity.
The money involved in her case is trifling, especially compared with worldcom, enron, etc.
It's kind of disgusting that Stewart got so much press for her relatively meager transgression and those that lost billions of people pension funds, etc, will likely get 1/100th of the press.

Yes, you obviously are missing something. Martha Stewart is a scandelous woman, obviously you seem not to care that several people were screwed over and lost over hundreds of thousands dollars. I'm sure they don't mind tho, after all they have people like you who I'm sure would be glad to give them welfare.

I will delete the extra posts.
Compared to the Enron, WorldCom, and HealthSouth scam artists, Martha Stewart is a petty criminal at most.

SHE LIED UNDER OATH. This is a brake down of the intrinsic intregity required for a functioning judicial system

And she's still a petty criminal compared to those other people. There must be thousands of people out there who have committed greater financial crimes.
Consider punctuation.

Not to mention spelling. "Brake down?" Mac ain't Tom and Ray of Car Talk, guy.

Well, Martha, my girl, sometimes you can lie and get by and sometimes you have to pay the price for gargantuan whoppers to make a quick buck.
