We're all gonna freeze and die!
Presidents Day Storm Buries Northeast
Lucky this came on a holiday when nobody had to go to work, I suppose.
HA! I kill me.
Well, lucky the postal workers who are the only people who get Presidents' Day off won't have to brave rain, sleet, or snow.

My mother came to town to stay with me. Plans were come in late Thursday afternoon, dinner out, stay until Monday morning.
I had to drive her up to D.C. in order to get her on the train. They're FINALLY due to start running south of D.C. tomorrow. But enough is enough; she was supposed to be here for THREE DAYS, not a week.
Sigh. Can't write this on my own blog. She might see it.

Welcome to the South. When I was a kid, we had two inches of snow once and Birmingham shut down for a whole week. No snowplows, of course, so really you have to wait for it to melt.
