Mets 1, Braves 0
When the best hitter of the night is Brian Jordan, you know it's time for a shakeup.
John Thomson made one bad pitch out of 116 and it cost him and his team the game. Paul Lo Duca hit a solo homer in the sixth for the only run of the game. Jordan had two hits. Renny, Chipper, and Diaz each had one.
Tom Glavine lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and no runs while walking two and striking out one. Thomson went six and two-thirds, allowing one run on three hits while walking four and striking out six. Villy walked one and allowed a hit but was able to get out of the seventh inning. Remmy was lights out in the eighth and Cormier pitched a scoreless ninth.
Tomorrow's game starts at 1:05 on TBS. Davies vs. Steve Trachsel.
