Braves 2, Mets 1 (Owned)
The game of the year and I missed it thanks to school. I think I'll drop out.
A true pitcher's duel. Nothing happened until the seventh, when Andruw lifted off on Glavine for a solo homer. The crucial run came in the eighth when David Wright committed an error, allowing Tony Pena to score. Chris Woodward drove in one in the ninth but that was it.
Francoeur was the only multi-hit hitter, but Andruw hit his seventh shot of the season.
Hudson outdueled Glavine, putting up the same exact line as Davies did yesterday. Nine innings, three hits, one earned run, one walk, and six strikeouts. The only difference is that Timmy had a perfect game through five. Glavine went eight, allowing one earned run on four hits while walking none and striking out five.
I wonder how long it will take ESPN to get back to that World Series talk. I guess a day. The Braves truly own the Mets.
After a well deserved day off, the Braves head to Washington to face the Natspos. Friday's game starts at 7:05 on Fox Sports Net. Smoltz vs. John Patterson.

Actually it was Andruw's 8th of the year, but at any rate, I'm glad to see Hudson back in top form, he was beginning to worry me there for a while. I figured he would come around, and with the recent efforts of our pitchers (Smoltz, Davies and Hudson) giving our bullpen some rest, hopefully we can count on better performances from all parts of our pitching staff. This was a crucial series, I don't think the mets are that much better than the Marlins were last year, so I'm not worried about them threatening us. Look at who they played in the first few weeks, Florida, Washington, teams that aren't very good. Winning this series was key, hopefully we can keep it up.

Hey,
Your site is fantastic even though I'm a Mets fan haha.
I linked you on to my site, www.americanlegends.blogspot.com and I was hoping that might do the same for me. That would be fantastic!
Have a great weekend.
Take care,
Mark
